On 3 June 2008 the Treasurer the Honourable Wayne Swan MP, asked the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics to inquire into and report on Competition in the banking and non-banking sectors. The inquiry will pay particular attention to home mortgage products
and linked facilities frequently offered to consumers such as credit
cards and savings accounts.
Submissions may be made by Friday 11 July 2008.
