The ASX Corporate Governance Council has announced that it had closed its consultation period on the draft fifth edition of its Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations. The proposed fifth edition will not proceed. Background.
The current Fourth Edition of the Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations will remain
in effect without change.
The draft fifth edition was first released for consultation in February 2024 and included recommendations regarding disclosure of board skills and diversity, and related processes. The ASX Corporate Governance Council said a broad consensus has not been reached in support of the proposed changes.
