Austrac’s Annual Report gives an insight into its operations.

AUSTRAC received a total of 21,555,034 reports from regulated entities and other agencies in 2009-10. This total includes reports submitted by regulated entities under both the FTR Act and the AML/CTF Act, as well as CBM reports forwarded by other agencies. The total number of reports represents a nine per cent increase on the number of reports received in 2008-09, and equates to an average of more than 82,900 transaction reports received per business day.
