The ASIC Chairman has made a speech covering “two things:

• the job of corporate regulator. That is, “what is it that we are trying to achieve at ASIC?” and
• how we are going to go about doing this task.

In particular, three of our key challenges in the coming years:
o bedding down the financial services reforms;
o building on our strong enforcement activities; and
o improving consumer protection.”
