APRA draft Reporting Standards on implementation of Basel III capital reforms

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released for consultation a Discussion Paper and draft Reporting Standards outlining its proposed reporting requirements for implementing the Basel III capital reforms in Australia.

The discussion paper and the accompanying draft reporting standards reflect the changes to APRA’s capital requirements as a result of the adoption of Basel III. APRA is proposing to adopt the new terminology for, and definitions of, regulatory capital.
