The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission has issued Draft Merger Guidelines 2008 for public comment.

The guidelines outline the ACCC’s administration and enforcement policy for dealing
with mergers under the Trade Practices Act. It includes the factors the
ACCC considers relevant including enforceable undertakings.

The closing date
for submissions is Friday 28 March 2008.
