New Austrac risk assessments and superannuation threat update

AUSTRAC has published:

  • new resources for reporting entities in the bullion sector, including a money laundering/terrorism financing risk assessment;
  • two money laundering/terrorism financing risk assessments for independent remittance dealers and for remittance network providers and their affiliates respectively; and
  • an update on money laundering/terrorism financing threats associated with the superannuation sector.

The guidance in these resources should be used to understand your risks, refine your business’s internal controls and to understand when you may need to report suspicious matters to AUSTRAC.
