The Treasurer has announced that Government has asked the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics to inquire into progress made by relevant financial institutions in implementing the recommendations of the  Financial Services Royal Commission.

The inquiry’s remit has also been expanded to include other major relevant financial institutions, super funds and insurers and leading financial services associations including the Australian Bankers’ Association.

This inquiry will complement the continuation of public hearings at least annually with the four major banks. Previous reviews.
